Visiting Pennyrile State Park
Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park sits in the Pennyrile State Forest near Dawson Springs, Kentucky. The park is known for Pennyrile Lake, its beach and boat rentals, miles of wooded hiking trails, a golf course, a lodge and a nature preserve setting that stays green and shaded through the summer. It is one of the most peaceful state parks in western Kentucky and an easy day out from our gate.
Where to stay when you are visiting the park
Park campsites are seasonal and fill quickly on weekends and holidays. Huggins Haven is open all year, which means you can visit Pennyrile in November and February as well as July. Our sites are level gravel with water and electric, room for larger rigs, and a fire pit and picnic table at every site.

Nightly rates are $45 to $47, with weekly and 30 day rates and long term sites available. On the property there is a fishing pond with a swing beside it, a walking trail, a playground and plenty of space between campers. We are pet friendly and family owned, and we keep it quiet on purpose.
